This rare little electric start Tax & MOT exempt 1971 Yamaha CS3 200 has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life.

This and the fact it's only showing 6933 miles and has been in dry storage for a considerable time have helped maintain its boyish good looks.

We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it.

As you can see this bike is complete & remarkably original.

It has stood a while, so the battery is flat, paintwork is faded, tyres are perished, tank is mucky inside & carburettors are stuck.

BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.

The wheels look straight with nice clean chrome rims, good hubs & brake plates.

Forks & yokes look straight.

Mudguards are both solid & are tidy.

Taillight assy is good as are the headlight & hangers.

Instruments & switches look good.

Paintwork is slightly faded but solid, fuel tank is useably clean inside. Sadly, the oil tank is dented.

Exhausts are original & solid.

Seat is in good condition throughout.

Chain guard is tidy.

The engine is cosmetically clean, it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression - We have had it firing/running on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention.

Larger bikes or destinations in Scotland, Cornwall or within the M25 area will cost more.
